With so much uncertainty around us, it’s important to be kind to yourself and find time for self-care. Anxiety, disruption to routine, and changing diets can lead to a weakened immune system and take a toll on mental health and wellness. In these times, I’ve found that adhering to a regular schedule and performing daily rituals helps me feel more grounded.
My nightly ritual of cleansing the face not only helps rids the skin of impurities but also releases any tension that has built up during the day. This simple routine based on the oil cleansing method helps skin stay in equilibrium and promotes cell growth as you sleep.
- Warm a few drops of GingerChi’s Purifying Cleansing Oil between the palms and apply to skin. Gently massage around the face and neck focusing on areas where oil tends to clog pores. Press gently on acupressure points to relax tension, giving yourself a nice face massage.
- Take the 100% Muslin Cloth and run it under hot water. Wring out and lay the steaming cloth over the face for a few seconds. Breathe deeply. As you wipe away impurities and makeup, the soft muslin texture gently exfoliates away dead skin cells. Repeat procedure if needed.
- Tone your face with a spritz of refreshing Chi Mist made with nourishing and soothing rose and chamomile flower waters. Tap lightly into skin.
- Finally, warm a few drops of Regenerating face Serum between palms and apply to your face. You can prolong the ritual by using the Bian Hot Stone roller or Guasha to further enhance and sculpt your face (more on this later).
