Our rebalancing Purifying Facial is more like a regular facial that involves steam to open your pores for deep cleansing, tighten your skin, and a mask to replace lost nutrients. It also usually includes extractions. Depending on your needs, we will also incorporate some of our natural stone facial tools to lift and smooth.

Our signature Gua Sha facial uses hot and cold Gua Sha tools and stone rollers to naturally lift and tone facial muscles, refine texture and stimulate lymphatic drainage, for fresher, younger, rejuvenated and glowing skin. The 90 minutes includes Gua Sha application to head/scalp, neck and shoulder as well as lower back to address Kidney Chi for relaxation and revitalizing energy.

For our signature facial, the Gua Sha specialist employs the use of hot Bian Stones created from meteorites that crashed into earth’s surface in northern China. Thus, the name ‘heaven’. This is followed by cold Jade (‘earth’) Gua Sha Tools and Rollers. We have an equivilant to acupuncture facial where no acupuncture needles are used. Our TCM Therapist using her finger tips activates up the 100 or so acupressure points on the face, head and body to open up meridian channels and stimulate the flow of Chi. Hot and cold Gua Sha tools are then utilized to lift, tone and smooth the skin - flushing out toxins and stimulating circulation. Besides providing a radiant glow and lift to dull, sagging skin, the results go deeper - fortifying internal organs and bringing the body into balance. Regular treatments can help insomnia, chronic headaches, high blood pressure, depression and anxiety - resulting in rejuvenation and beauty from inside out.

If you have not had a general facial in a while and feel in need of deep clean, we would advise to start off with our Purifying, Rebalancing Facial. Our Heaven & Earth Gua Sha Facial Treatment that offers anti-aging benefits and lift also provides a deep cleaning with steaming and signature Rice Bran mask at the end. So either works depending if you are after a deep clean or more of a lift and rejuvenation.

We also offer a Combo, which combines our Purifying Facial and Heaven and Earth Gua Sha Natural Face Lift. You are most welcome to consult with our specialist.

Our facial treatments range from 60 to 90 minutes to complete. There is no downtime after the treatment, so if you only have one hour, you can complete the treatment when you have time and get right back to your day.

For more intense treatments and overall relaxation and rejuvenation we recommend going with the 90 minutes. We guarantee you’ll be glad you did also.

We can customize a facial to address certain skin of facial issues you may be experiencing. For example, we have even focused on TMJ issues when performing the Gua Sha Natural Face Lift. According to TCM, most skin issues are a result of imbalance in the organs. Our Therapist, trained in TCM can diagnose your skin issues and work accordingly on acupressure points to provide the best results. We can change combine or techniques to benefit your needs. We see each customer as an individual and do not believe in ‘one size fits all’

How often you get a facial treatment depends on a few factors. How chronic is your issue, you skin type and the cycle of your skin. When your skin regrows after the facial, it will eventually look dull, so ideally you should have a facial before the skin reaches that point. For most people, one facial per month or every three to four weeks should provide continuously healthy skin. Having a facial treatment once per month will remove damaged skin cells as they appear so your skin will always have a healthy and youthful look.

To maintain our Gau Sha natural face-lifts and see results, we recommend every two weeks or at least once a month. We also advise you to continue practicing the Gua Sha at regularly at home in between sessions.

Actually our clients look so radiant after their treatments, they see don’t need for makeup. If possible avoid make up for 12-24 hours. Allow our natural plant-based product used during your facial, time to soak in and work their magic. If you are planning on going to an event, then we recommend scheduling your facial a couple days prior. Your skin will be soft and glowing by then and will help your makeup to go on effortlessly.

Yes. Depending on how far along you are, we will make sure you are comfortable. Please tell your esthetician in your consultation that you are pregnant, and we will switch out any necessary products to ensure the safety of you and your baby.

For any for our Facial and Gua Sha Face treatments if you’ve had Botox injections, wait 24 hours to a week. For fillers, wait at least 2 weeks.

We have a small cozy intimate space that house 2 beds. Our treatments are very specialized and based on TCM principles. We are the only spa in New York with authentic Gua Sha treatments. We use only our handcrafted and organic plant based oils for our treatments.

When you first book a treatment with GINGERCHI, we require credit card information to confirm your booking and to uphold our cancellation policies as well as for ease of transaction. If you cancel or reschedule less than 24 hours before your treatment, you will be charged 50% of the cost of your booking, plus relevant sales tax.
