What is the difference between a Tui-Nah Massage and a Swedish Massage?

The Gua Sha is a traditional Eastern Healing technique, dating back about 3000 years using stone or porcelain object to release toxins and stimulate blood flow.

We employ this technique to release toxins and relieve pain in tired/ sore, injured muscles as well as reduce inflammation. By ‘scraping’ (with repeated strokes on surface of skin) the Gua Sha helps stimulate new blood flow and draw out stagnation in the problem areas to help generate metabolic cell repair and healing.

After a Gua Sha body session, we advise you not to bathe for at least 4 hours.

Who should benefit from the 5 Elements Therapy Massage

This is massage for anyone who feels out of sorts due to stress and or lifestyle.

According to TCM principle, when your body organs which are associated with the 5 elements – fire, earth, water and metal are out of alignment, your body suffers. This may result in symptoms such as insomnia, indigestion, muscle pain and headaches.

After our TCM therapist diagnoses your condition, we use one or more of our custom blend of essential oils, specially formulated by GingerChi, to address the imbalances in your system. The specific blend/blends is massaged into acupressure points to open up the meridian channels to stimulate, align and balance your constitution. This one of our more relaxing massages with effects that go more than skin deep.
