Note: Jute, the softer of our two brush fibers, is ideal for those with thin and sensitive skin or those who are new to dry brushing. As your skin gets used to brushing, you can adopt the more vigorous and stimulating Sisal Body Dry Brush.

Dry brushing takes about 5 – 10 minutes and we recommend one or two times a week. Dry brush before a shower as part of your ritual. Do not brush too vigorously or too frequently as this can damage skin and cause irritation and dryness.

For the more sensitive areas, control the amount of pressure exerted. Instructions are included with the brush. Find out more about Dry Brushing and the benefits in our Journal section.

Q: How often should I dry bush?
A: Dry brushing should be done once or twice a week. If you have very sensitive skin, try doing it once every few weeks.

Q: What is the difference between the Jute and Sisal?
A: Jute fiber softer than sisal fiber. Both can be used for dry brushing. Jute brushes are recommended if you haven’t tried out dry brushing before since it’s softer and is gentler on the skin to get used to this routine.

Q: What are the benefits of dry brushing?
A: Dry brushing is great for the lymphatic system by helping to remove toxins from the body. It also is great for skin exfoliation and possibly reducing cellulite from the massage the bristles have against your skin.
