Bian stones were formed about 65 million years ago when a meteorite collided with Earth in Shandong, China. Known as “needle stone,” it is considered as a precursor to acupuncture, utilizing heated pointed stones (instead of acupuncture needles) to treat neck and back pain.

The Bian stone contains up to 40 trace minerals beneficial to the human body and has thermal conductivity and heat-storing capabilities. Studies have shown the properties of Bian Stone can help stimulate the circulation of blood, relax muscles, joints, and aid in anti-oxidation in human cells.

Tip:Our Bian Stone Roller works best when immersed in hot water before use. After the warming massage, in accordance with the principles of yin and yang, one can follow the process by rolling with a cold Bian or Jade Roller that has been refrigerated or immersed in ice water. This warm and cold effect encourages overall balance.

Beautiful Bian Roller

I’m loving this Bian Stone Roller, which I started in conjunction with my Gua Sha. It is a gentle way to infuse serums into the skin, and I love using it in the evening. The roller itself has weight, so gravity does the work for you. Effortless and effective, I’d say!

first time roller, and I love the weight and quality of this one! don't usually see this stone used in rollers (more quartz/jade), but can't see why not??? I love that it's not cold to the touch as I would imagine other crystal rollers are. Also love having this as part of my nighttime winddown routine, feels like I'm continually gifting myself a nice bit of self-care with this, super easy to incorporate and comes with a lovely and easy to follow how-to guide.

Another Wonderful Product from Ginger Chi

I would highly recommend giving this roller a try, especially if you have never used one before, it's a great product to start with.
The quality is top notch and I love how smooth and gentle it is on your face - and it's a bonus that you can use with warm water especially during these colder months.
This also makes a really wonderful and affordable gift!
Overall, highly recommend

The Anti-Aging Ban Stone Roller can be used any time of the day, morning, or evening and also to stimulate meridian points on other parts of the body. Roll over acupressure points around the collarbones, breast, wrist, and arms to improve overall Chi.

Like each of our unique beauty treatment systems, the GingerChi Bian Stone Roller comes with an illustrated leaflet with detailed instructions on how to properly glide the roller over the meridian points of the face and neck.

Q1: What is bian stone?
A: Bian stones were formed about 65 million years ago when a meteorite collided with Earth in Shandong, China.

Q2: How does facial rolling work?
A: Using a stone roller on your face and neck works in so many ways — it stimulates blood flow to encourage nutrients and oxygen to your skin, it drains fluid (bye-bye puffy eyes!) and gives a relaxing deep-tissue massage. But! How you do it is as important as why you’re doing it.

Q3: What is facial rolling?
A: Stone face rollers evolved as an Imperial Chinese beauty tool, used to refine, tone, and enhance skin elasticity while stimulating meridian points to promote facial Chi.

The jade stone is believed to carry nourishing and gentle energy and considered a symbol of beauty, grace, and longevity. The semiprecious stone has properties that allow it to remain cold on contact (even in warm weather). This cooling effect helps to minimize pores, tighten skin, and increase lymphatic drainage.
